Delete your account
Close your account and erase your mail for good.
Deleting your account is permanent. Your mailbox and every message in it are erased and cannot be recovered.
Before you go, you may want to export your contacts and move any mail you want to keep.
- Open Settings, Account.
- Scroll to Danger zone and choose Delete account.
- Type your full email address, then enter your password to confirm.
Your mail, sign-in sessions, two-step verification, profile photo, Vires, stories, shared files and profile are removed. See the Data Retention Policy for how long backups take to clear.
