Folders, starring and archiving

Create a folder

1. In the mail sidebar, find Folders and select +.
2. Type a name and choose Create.

To rename or delete a folder, hover over it (or press and hold on a phone) and open its ⋯ menu. Deleting a folder also deletes the messages in it.

Star, archive and move

• Star a message to find it later in Starred. Press s with a message open.
• Archive clears a message out of your inbox without deleting it. Press e.
• Move to in a message's menu files it in any folder.

Messages in Trash and Spam can be removed for good with Empty Trash now or Empty Spam now.
