Your first ten minutes
A short checklist to set your account up properly.
A few things are worth doing straight away. Each takes a minute or two.
- Add a recovery email in Settings, Account. Without one, you cannot reset a forgotten password yourself.
- Turn on two-step verification or create a passkey in Settings, Security.
- Add a profile photo and your display name, so people recognise you in their inbox.
- Set up a signature under Appearance & reading, if you use one.
- Install the app on your phone and computer. See Install the app.
